Howdy Phylo JC,
We will be kicking off phylogenetics journal club 2017 with a special meeting with Casey Dunn, this month's OEB Seminar speaker (Feb 23, 4 pm, Biolabs Main Lecture Hall). Members of the Dunn Lab are working at the forefront of phylogenetics methodology and theory, and this week we will discuss one of their latest reviews on the value of descriptive biology in comparative genomics.
Dunn, CW, C Munro (2016) Comparative genomics and the diversity of life. Zoologica Scripta 45:5-13. doi:10.1111/zsc.12211
We will meet this Thursday, February 23 from 2 00 - 3 30 pm in the oceanography seminar room (right next to MCZ 101). Note this is not our normal meeting time. We will have coffee and snacks.
